Based on your reading of the GCU Introduction and the textbooks, what is the main difference between the modern Western worldview and the postmodern worldview? Which parts, if any, do you identify with? Explain. Cite references from your reading to support your answer.
Solution
Worldview is the way of looking at world, way of seeing reality.
The modern Western worldview seeks for factual interpretation of biblical stories. This philosophy states that if the stories are not factual then they are just fables.
Postmodern worldview, on the other hand, does not seek factuality. It\'s focus is on how human beings perceive and how human beings describe what a world is. As per this philosphy. no human being can claim to have the truth about the real world, they just have biases and perceptions.
I identify with the modern Western worldview i.e if the stories are not factual they are just fables. I believe in truth and hence i identify with it. Real is tangible and hence identifiable.
