(a) BATTERY:
Batteries are used for power supplies. Many devices are working based on batteries. They are used as a power sources for many devices. A battery can store electrical energy, it gives steady supply of electrical energy whenever requires. Rechargable batteries can degrade and upgrade electrical energy present in it.
(b) RESISTOR:
Resistors are essential electronic circuits, they control the amount of current that runs through them. Without resistors voltage would be high for individual components and results in overloading or destruction.
Resistors are used as heating elements in irons, toasters, heaters, electric stoves and hair dryers, which dissipate voltage as heat. Variable resistors may function as sensors, switches and voltage dividers.
(c) CAPACITOR:
Capacitors are used as amplifier systems in car audio systems. Capacitors smooth the output of power supplies, are used as resonant circuits in radio systems. Capacitors are used to power a camera\'s electronic flash. These are used to allow high frequency signals and blocks low frequency signal in the designing of different types of filters. Capacitors are used in speakers and woofers to pass high ferquency energy.
(d) INDUCTOR:
One common use of inductor and capacitor in filters. Inductors allow low frequency signals and blocks high ferquency signals. Inductors are used in oscillators, storage devices, especially in switching power supplies. One more important use is in Transformers, inductors provide magnetic flux across the inductive coils. Inductors are also used in motors to turn electrical energy into mechanical energy.
(e) VOLTAGE DIVIDER:
A voltage divider is a simple circuit which turns larger voltages into smaller voltages. These are used in potentiometers which can be used to create an adjustable voltage divider. These are also used in resistive sensors.
