(a) count no. of contours between 5700\' and 5800\' contour lines, n= 5

so contour interval = (5800-5700)/5= 20\' i.e. 20 feet

(b) no of drops from 5800\' contour line = 2, so elevation of A = 5800- 2*20 = 5760\'

(c) One can not tell it for sure, unless one of the inner contour elevation is given in the area near to B, however, if it is a depression, then, Elevation of B = 5720\' (because no. of drops from 5800\' contour line is 4.

(d) no. of drops from 6000\' contour = 6, so elevation of C = 6000- 6*20 = 4080\'

(e) no. of drops from 5700\' contour = 2, so elevation of D = 5700-2*20 = 5660\'
