Solution

The cells of an organism that normally lives at 15 - 37 degrees Celsius maintain the structure of its protein at elevated temperature of 40 degrees Celsius via various cellular adaptation mechanisms which includes various physiological mechanism and repair abilities. There will be a temperature dependent composition of the cell wall of the organism in the lipid bilayer to maintain its structure. During rapid increase in temperature there will be synthesis and accumulation of heat shock proteins. The mechanism by which these heat shock proteins protect the protein denauturation is still unclear but it is said that these proteins are involved in ATP dependent protein unfolding and prevents heat stress. The physiological mechanisms such as muscle relaxation and sweating are also utilized for dissipating excess heat at higher temperatures.
