This is based on how Holt’s data available.

Suppose if we are having average of Holts data, this is a one sample problem.

Here we are comparing our sample mean with pre specified mean ( Holts data mean or the population mean).

Here we have to use one sample t test ( when population standard deviation is not known).

Some times we use one sample z test ( when population standard deviation is known).
