Let messages sent by Boris = B

Let messages sent by David = D

Heather sent 10 fewer messages than David, means : H = D-10   ..................(1)

Boris sent 3 times messages as David, means : B = 3*D .............................(2)

As we know, total messages sent are 115, means H + B + D = 115.................(3)

Putting the value of H & B in equation (3)

D-10 + 3 D + D = 115

5 D -10 = 115

5 D = 125

D = 25

Putting the value of D in equation (1) , H = D -10 = 25-10 = 15

Again putting the value of D in equation (2), B = 3* D = 3*25 = 75

Hence, messages sent by Heather = 15
