Priority encoders are much more common than non-priority encoders. What do you think the reasons are for that?

nonpriority encoders are not used to detect interrupts in controllers only Priority encoders are used to detecting interrupts in microcontrollers. since we have many interrupts and depends on situation and no. of priorities the controller has to respond. the priority of the interrupts dettected using priority encoder.
