Determine the voltage, at t = 1 s, t = 2.5s and at t = 4 s for the circuit shown in Figure 1.

Solution

there are 2 dpdt switches in the given circuit

firstly when the s1 and s2 is closed...the current passes through tje circuit

then the voltage flowing tin the circuit will be as follows.

resistance is 5k

current is in same direction ...so 3mA

then v=ir=3(5)=15volts

when s1 is closed and s2 is open

then voltage is as follows

current flows only upto resistor

then voltage is v=1(5)=5volts

when s1 is closed and s2 is open

then voltade is as follows

voltage=10volts

when both the switches are closed ...there will be no current flowing...

so voltage -0
