Stress transformation exercises For each of the stressed ele
Stress transformation exercises: For each of the stressed elements given, previously solved using the transformation equations, draw Mohr\'s Circle of Stress and determine: a) Maximum combined shear stress and plane angle b) Maximum combined normal stress and plane angle c) Minimum combined normal stress and plane angle d) The stresses at 35 80 MPa 100 MPa 80 MPa 100 MPa 80 MPa t o 60 MPa 40 MPa 40 MPa le : 120 MAP 80 MPa MPa 80 MP
Solution
In above all questions , draw a x-axis & y-axis, plot a circle on this axis and tensile force is draw in the right side of axes & also compression force draw left side in the axes with the shear stress.
Now,
Apply the distance formula get the maximum combined shear stress(equal to radius of circle).
Also find the maximum combined normal stress by using this formula...
1= [(4+3)÷2] +root sq.[(4+3)^2÷(2)^2+ tau^2]
Where,
1= narmal stress
4=tensile tress
3=compression stress
Tau= shear stress
