A 2cm segment of a wire carrying 100 A placed between the pole faces of a 3.00 Telsa magnet. Find the magnitude of the magnitude force on this segment of wire A single loop of thin copper wire 1 cm^2 in area is placed between the pole faces of an electromagnet. If the resistance of the loop is 4.00ohm and the induce current is 250 mA at what rate is the magnitude field of the magnet changing

Solution

b) F = I*L*B = 0.02*100*3 = 6N

c) emf = rate of change of magnetic flux;

250*10^-3*4 = (dB/dt)*10^-4

dB/dt = 10000 T/sec
