Height = 5mt ; acc due to gravity = 9.81 mt/sec^2

intial velocity, u =0

So, h = ut +1/2gt^2

h = 0 +1/2gt^2

t = sqrt(2h/g) = sqrt(2*5/9.81)

= 1.01 sec

Velocity before it hits water: v = u+gt

v = gt = 9.81*1.01 = 9.9 mt/sec
