Write the standard form of the equation and the general form

Write the standard form of the equation and the general form of the equation of the circle with radius r and center (h, k). Then graph the circle. r = 5; (h, k) = (2, -1) The standard form of the equation of this circle is. (Type your answer in standard form.)

Solution

Standard equation of circle :

(x -h)^2 + (y -k)^2 = r^2 ; where ( h , k) = centre of circle and r= radius of circle

So, (h, k) = ( 2, -1) ; r = 5 units

so, ( x -2)^2 + ( y +1)^2 = 25

Write the standard form of the equation and the general form of the equation of the circle with radius r and center (h, k). Then graph the circle. r = 5; (h, k
