what happens to the x and the y intercepts for y mxSolution
what happens to the x- and the y- intercepts for y = mx?
Solution
We know that if we substitute x = 0 in the equation of the line, the resulting y-value is the y-intercept. Similarly, if we substitute y = 0 in the equation of the line, the resulting x-value is the x-intercept.
Here, the equation of the line is y = mx.Apparently, this line passes through the origin i.e. the point (0,0). Hence there is no x or y -intercept.
