Im having a difficulty solving part B and part C Can somebod

I\'m having a difficulty solving part B and part C
Can somebody help me with these two?

Solution

a) vector C has magnitude = 39.3 acts at an angle of 146.5 degrees

vector D has magnitude = 12.0 acts at an angle of 293.1 degrees

writing vector C in component form

39.3 (cos 146.5 i + sin 146.5 j ) = -32.77i + 21.69j

writing component form of vector D

12.0 ( cos 293.1 i + sin 293.1 j ) = 4.708i - 11.037 j

magnitude of resultant vector = - 28.062 i + 10.653 j

magnitude = sqrt ( -28.062^2 + 10.653^2 ) = 30.016

theta = tan^-1 ( 10.653 / -28.062) = 20.79 degrees ( measured counterclockwise )
