A) Draw the cell below (note that the letters indicate the gene and alleles present in each chromosome, show those letters on every drawing) as it goes through the cell cycle and indicate the main things that happen to its chromosomes at each stage (label: sister chromatids, homologous chromosomes, G1, S, G2, Prophase, metaphase, anaphase, telophase, cytokinesis, indicate the 3 checkpoints).

Solution

Cell cycle is a process through which the cells divides and multiply it\'s number. It has certain phases..

(a) Go phase - It is phase of the cycle from which the cell cycle starts. It this phase the cell stop dividing..!!

(b) G1 phase - in this phase the cell mass increases in size in terms of organells, chromosome and preapre itself for DNA synthesis..!!

(c) S phase - It is phase of the cycle whre the DNA Synthesis occurs. In this stage each chromosome have double sister chromatids..!!

(d) G2 phase - the cell preapre itself from the mitosis..

(e) mitosis - the cell undergoes into the stage i.e whre it undergoes different other stages...

Interphase - here the chromosomal materials get doubled.. G1\'S, G2 together forms the Interphase..

The check points are :-

1) G1/S checkpoints...

2) G2/M checkpoints

3) mitosis checkpoints

The main purpose of the chekpoints is to check whether the previous work had been done properly and to preapre the cell next generation..

A) Draw the cell below (note that the letters indicate the gene and alleles present in each chromosome, show those letters on every drawing) as it goes through
