1. In case of anxiety the first sign of possible danger is picked up by the thalamus. the thalamus then transfers the sensory information in two directions,first involves a faster path to the the amygdala and the second invoves path through the cerebral cortex and back to the amygdala.The amygdala is called the emotional centre of the brain. So when amgdala gets the signal that there is possible danger nearby it starts the fight or flight reaction.This causes the heart beat and breathing rate to increase .The stress hormones will spike resulting in tense muscles.

When the information travels through the cortex you think whether the event is athreat or not.The prefrontal cortex is associated with reason and logical thinking. So the cortex decides whether the panic situation is actually dangerous or not.

4 body responses to anxiety are increase in heart beat ,breathing rate becomes rapid,blood sugar level increases,moth becomes dry,palms start sweating.

2. Panic disorder is atype of anxiety disorder which involves recurrent unexpected panic attacks.Panic attacks are characterized by shortness of breath,seating,shaking palpatations.The cause is unknown. It can be treated using counselling and medications.

spacific phobia is atype of anxiety disorder which involves irrational fear to specific objects or situations.People try to avoid the situations or objects that cause such fear.it can imapir the persons health.it si expressed in the form of discomfort.

obsessive compulsive disorder is atype of mental disorder in which the person tends to do certain things repeatedly.Theses activities involve hand washing,checking whether the door is locked. The cause of it is unknown. Treatment involves cognitive behaviour therapy and medications.

post traumatic stress is a mental disorder which develops when a person is exposed to a traumatic event such as an accident,warfare,sexual assault.Symptoms include dreams about the event.

generalized anxiety involves excessive worry about different things.The affected individuals worry about work,health,money.ec.In severe cases the person is not able to carry ot the simplest daily routine activity.

3. Fear is considered to be an emotional response to a situation in which the individual feels threatened. Anxiety is a response to an unknown threat.It involves the nids vision that something bad can happen. symptoms include headache, sleeping disturbance,chest pain ,sweating. The diffrence between fear and anxiety is that in case of anxiety symptoms accur even when there is no apparent cause.
