Hi. I was wondering if anyone could please tell me how to plot residuals against x in Minitab (I understand how to plot residuals versus the fitted values)? Thanks.

Solution

1.Select Stat >> Regression >> Regression...
2. Specify the response and the predictor(s).
3.Under Graphs... a. Under Residuals for Plots, select either Regular or Standardized.
b. Under Residuals Plots, select the desired types of residual plots. If you want to create a residuals vs. predictor plot, specify the variable \'x\' in the box labeled Residuals versus the variables.
c.Select OK.
