Solution

Answer= The mechanism by which abo antibodies are able to cause hemolysis during transfusion reactions caused by abo mismatch is Hemolytic Blood transfusion reaction

1] If incompatible blood is given in transfusion the donar cells are treated as if they were foreign invaders & patients immune system attack them accoringly

2] Hemolytic transfusion reaction = Donar RBCs are destroyed by antibodies in the recipients circulation

3] They occure when antigen positive donor RBCs are trnsfused into a patient who have performed antibodies to that antigen

4] The donor RBCs may be destroyed immediately

5] Red blood cell incompatibility also occurs when patient RBCs antigens are attack by antibodies from the donors plasma

6] The hemolysis takes place in recipients blood

What is the mechanism by which abo antibodies are able to cause hemolysis during transfusion reactions caused by abo mismatch ? Where does the hemolysis takes
