Absolute Oxygen consumption - millilitres of oxygen consumed per minute. (Independent of the mass of the body).

Relative Oxygen consumption - millilitres of oxygen/Kilogram of body weight/minute.

Eg - 2 people can have the same Absolute Oxygen consumption, but 1 could be a heavy person and the other little person. It implies better aerobic capacity of the little person, and not so much for the heavy person.
