Determine the resultant of the vectors with the given magnit

Determine the resultant of the vectors with the given magnitudes and directions. A 567, 160n degrees, B 1243, 235 degrees.

Solution

A : 567 N and 160 deg

B: 1243 N and 235 deg

Horizontal = H = 567 cos(160) + 1243 cos(235) = -1245.76 N

Vertical V = 567 sin(160) + 1243 sin(235) = -824.28 N

Total Net = sqrt(V^2 + H^2) = 1493.77 N

Angle = 180 + tan(-824.28/-1245.76) ..due to both are nagative so third quadrant

Angle = 180 + 33.5

Angle = 213.5 deg.

Determine the resultant of the vectors with the given magnitudes and directions. A 567, 160n degrees, B 1243, 235 degrees.SolutionA : 567 N and 160 deg B: 1243
