If same classes of monomer are combined together by a bond it is called polymer in the same way if two different monomers are combined to form a new entity and this long chain is called copolymer.

Copolymers are classified as

a)Alternating copolymer

b) Statistical copolymer

c) Periodic copolymer

Now when two types of polymers are combined together to form a new structure the new entity is called a polymer blend.
