Describe the importance of TPMs(technical performance measurrement) and why it is very important to have them under configuration management.

Technical Performance Measurement (TPM) is a measure of evaluating the value of an important technical performance parameter of a completed product which is still high up in the queue of development based on the evaluation of products in the lower queue. It is important to software as TPM ensures that we figure out the deviations from the end goal of the project in the stage of the development. The risk factors can be distinctly figured out so that problems don\'t arise at a later stage. In configuration management , tacking and controlling the changes made in a particular artifact is noted. If TPM is made a part of the system, we can track what lead to this change(or risk) , and in turn help in fixing the fault more effectively. If a particular change has made a lot of risk, the version can be rolled back to the previous version.
