Explain why malaria infection may lead to anemia. How would you classify the anemia that results?(scientific name for the type of anemia that results)

Solution

Plasmodium falciperum and Plasmodium vivax causes malaria in human and also responsible for anemia .It is due to increase removal of erythrocyte as well as decreased production of erythrocytes in the the bone marrow.Anemia is due to the continous removal/ destruction of erythrocytes in the bone marrow. Parasitie infect RBC and its toxin causes harmful effect to the erythrocyte. It causes severe anemia in human.
