Electric field produced by a point charge is given by:

E = k*q/r^2

where

k = 4*10^9

q = charge

r = distance from the charge

So, E = 9*10^9*(5*10^-6)/1^2

= 45000 N/C <-----answer

b)

Similarly , using the the same formula used above:

E =  9*10^9*(5*10^-6)/2^2

= 11250 N/C
