You don\'t have to make a graph. I just thought that you might need it to get part 2. I just don\'t know how to convert to rectangular form.

Solution

r = 2 -3cos(theta)

multiplying \'r\' on both sides

r^2 = 2r -3rcos(theta)

but x=rcos(theta) and y =rsin(theta)

so r^2 = x^2 +y^2

x^2 +y^2 = 2 sqrt(x^2 +y^2) - 3x

x^2 +y^2 -2 sqrt(x^2+y^2) +3x=0
