Inhibiting hormones: These are basically those hormones which have function for inhibiting other hormones production. For example melanocyte Inhibiting hormone secret from hypothalamus and inhibits melanocyte-stimulating hormone.

These hormones are secreted from majorly hypothalamus but also secreted by adrenal cortex, myocytes and cerebral cortex.
