For the triangle ABC we are given that A 48 B 62 and c 35
For the triangle ABC, we are given that A = 48°, B = 62°, and c = 35.0.
Find the length of side a, rounded to the nearest tenth. Show work.
Solution
A = 48°,
B = 62°,
C = 180 - 48 - 62 = 70
and c = 35.0
If A, B, and C are the measures of the angles of a triangle, and a, b, and c are the lengths of the sides opposite these angles, then
sinA/a = sinB/b = sinC/c
sin48/a = sin70/35
a = 35*sin48/sin70 = 27.7
