Review Hallal v. RDV sports, 682 So.2d 1235 (fla. Dist. Ct. App. 1996 where an appellate court held that workers\' compensation was the exclusive remedy in a similar situation.
This can happen at any work place regardless..... even in operations management. If the person got injured on your job sight while being a intern .......is that person entitled to a workers compensation??
Solution
Yes, this can happen anywhere. As regards intern, it was held in the judgment that even an intern is considered as \"employee\" under the Florida Workers\' Compensation Act when he was injured, and therefore is eligible for workers\' compensation which is the only remedy in the case.
