A researcher claims that the average height of a woman aged 20 years or older is greater than the 1994 mean height of 63.7 inches. She obtains a sample of 45 women and finds the sample mean height to be 63.9 inches. Assume that the population standard deviation is 3.5 inches. Test the researcher’s belief at = 0.05

My question is why this is one right tail? I just dont know why this is 1 right tail thats all.

as you can see in that sentences when you have a greater than or lower than that means that is one tail in this casi is right tail because it say greater

when the claims say that is equals to one numbers, it can be greater than or lower than the alternative hypothesis

so in that case is 2 tailed test
