Produce a hypothesis to predict the effects of the following
Solution
1. The amount of sugar increases the amount of alcohol produced.
If higher amount of sucrose increase the rate of alcoholic fermentation then higher amounts of CO2 would be produced.
2. Sodium fluoride inhibits the rate of alcoholic fermentation. NaF effects the enzyme enolase to convert phosphoglycerate to phosphoenol pyruvate.
If NaF is present during alcoholic fermentation then the amount of alcohol produced is inhibited.
3. IIf MgSO4 amount is higher the amount of CO2 is decreased.
