A group of college age males and a group of college age fema
A group of college age males and a group of college age females were sampled and 95% confidence intervals were created for the true population average of the amount spent on pizza and related items m the past month. The male confidence interval k from $40 to $60 ($50 +/- $10). The female confidence interval ts from $25 to $35 ($30 +/- $5). Is there a the two group population mean amounts spent? Why? (Provide the reasoning behind your answer)(see page l . in

  Solution
confidence interval of boys = (40,60)
For girls = (25,35)
There is definitelydifference between the two as for 95% confidence level, there is no common element between the two.
Hence reject the null hypothesis that the two means are equal.
