The purpose of the cultivation is to isolate and identify the virus viral growth can cause cytopathic effects in cell culture these cytopathic effects cytocidal or non cytocidal where as the uninfected cells form a monolayer CULTURING: the tissue is trated with the enzymes to seperate the cells and the cells are suspended in the culture medium .the normal cells or the primary cells grow in monolayer across the container where as transformed cells donot grow in monolayer and form as seperate then those transformed cells should be isolated. after isolation the viral identification is done by :1.serological methods like westren blotting 2.molecular methods like pcr and RFLC\'s.
