1. Start from the complicated side. It is always easy to convert various intricate trigonometric fucntions into simpler ones by replacing them with sine and cos.
Convert the angles which are multiple of pi by appropriate signs into angles of 1st quadrant.
Knowing about the values of trigonometric functions at some typical angles & the basic formula (eg : Double angle and half angle) will come in handy.
2. You will get an upper hand in solving Trigonometric identities if you know the graph of some basic functions like sine,cos & tangent.
Eg : Sinx=0.
If you draw its graph, you will come to know that for every value which is a multiple of pi will satisfy this equation.
