arrange your chess board as follows white Ba4 Nb7 pawnd7 Ke5
arrange your chess board as follows: white B-a4, N-b7, pawn-d7, K-e5, pawn -g7, R-h7; Black: Q-g4, K-e7, R-co, B-e8, N-f9; white to move. It must checkmate black in one move. Which of the following moves delivers that checkmate?
Solution
Scenario you have produced above is not possible. Because there are two reason
a) You placed Black Rook at c0, there is no such place on chess board, if you start index from 1.
b) You placed Black Knight at f9, there is also no such place on chess board.
So according to me it must be R - c8 and N - f8.
On that basis I would say,
White pawn in d7 moves to d8 and gets a knight instead of queen. As a result of that black king will be in double check from the rook at h7 and knight at d8. Therefore the black queen can not move to capture any of them.
It is the check and mate in one move.
