The circular disk of radius r = 0.15 m rotates about a fixed axis through point O with the angular properties omega = 2.6 rad/s and a = 1.9 rad/s^2 with directions as shown in the figure. Determine the instantaneous values of the velocity and acceleration of point A.
Solution
The point A rotates in a circle about O. So v= omega* OA = omega* [r^2+(0.3r)^2]^(1/2)= 0.41 m/s. And acceleration= alpha *OA =0.297 m/s^2.
