When both the alleles of a particular chromosome are recessive, it’s called homozygous recessive for that chromosome pair. There are few real life examples of homozygous recessive such as albinism, cystic fibrosis etc.

Albinism is congenital disorder in humans that is a characterized by absence of pigment in skin, eyes, and hairs. Absence of pigment may be partial or complete. Lack of skin pigmentation in albinism makes individual more sensitive to sunlight and susceptible skin sunburn and skin cancers. Albinism is also associated with visions defects such as amblyopia, photophobia and nystagmus. This disorder is due to inheritance of recessive alleles which has defect/ absence of tyrosinase involved in the production of melanin.
