a) Null Hypothesis, H₀: There is no significant difference between the mean study times for the females and the males.

Alternative Hypothesis, H₁: There is significant difference between the mean study times for the females and the males.

b) From the printout, t = 2.33.

c) From the printout, p-value = 0.028. Since p-value < 0.05, we reject the null hypothesis, at 0.05 los, and conclude that there is significant difference between the mean study times for the females and the males.

d) The 95% confidence interval for the mean difference is (0.74,11.93). Since, the estimate of difference = 6.33 lies in this interval, we cannot reject H_o using only the confidence interval.
