When you are driving down the road and approaching a dead skunk, the smell begins miles away and gets stronger as you drive closer to the skunk. When you apply perfume or cologne, the smell is strong in the air at first but does not linger forever; it will eventually disappear. Explain why these instances occur. (Hint: remember this applies to what we are learning this week - use your terminology and critical thinking!!) NEED CITATION AND PARAPHRASE!!
Solution
It is due to the case that when our sense organ like smell, smells the smell of the perfume again and again daily it get used to it due to which the smell disappear from the nose after sometime after sometime..!!
But when the sensory organ smell, perceive a new smell it remains for a longer time as it is new smell I tries to form a memory of it inside the brain. Morever it can also be due to the attention which is more given towards the new and bad fowling of the smell which last longer among the nose sensory organs..!!
