What is an example of a mutation involving the RISC complex

What is an example of a mutation involving the RISC complex that would increase ATP production?

Solution

RNA-induced silencing complex (RISC) contains Dicer, Argonaute protein 2, siRNA and TRBP. Dicer of RISC complex is having helicase activity that is required to unwind the non-template strand from template strand of dsRNA from that complex make then allows it to bind the target RNA. This reaction is ATP dependent and the mutation in this Dicer2 component will lead to the accumulation of ATP. TRBP (transactivating response RNA-binding protein) is a protein with three double-stranded RNA-binding domains and Agonaute protein (Ago2) transactivating response RNA-binding protein whose function is ATP independant.
