You are currently employed as an apprentice electrical engineer for an electrical contracting company. Your supervisor has been given the following contracts: Installation of a two way lighting circuit and a small ring four 13 amp socket outlets to a conservatory. This installation will also include an outside light. Replace a defective three phase induction motor driving a conveyor system. The motor weight 25kg and is installed in a basement under the system which is used to carry crushed rock for the manufacture of concrete products.

Solution

TASK1- The health and safety at work place act 1974 , which explains that the safety and security is the most important to be in the mind while working at the sites.

In the above scenario, the installation of the lights and replacement of motor should be done with all precautions that are mentioned in the act. All the precautions should be taken as the gloves, goggles and helmet are the most important safety equipments

TASK-2

As an employee , I will take all the safety precautions very seriously.

As an employer, I will check whether all my employee are taking all the safety measures seriously or not , and then will take action accordingly.

As a HSE executive , I will take round of the site frequently to see the working condition and safety precautions taken by the employee.

As a customer , It is responsibility to check the product before buying to check that there had not happened any harming effect on the worker while making this product.

And as a supplier, we should check whether these products are made under all safety measures that are mentioned in the act.
