What is a class frequency? How do we use this information? Provide an example.
Solution
A class frequency is a set of data that can be broken down into classes of some width size. An example would be height. Instead of counting individual height size, we can group frequencies by designating a class of 3 inches at a time. So, one way of doing it from 50 to 69 inches broken down into 4 classes is to set up a list of 50 to 54, 55 to 59, 60 to 64, and 65 to 69 inches instead of 20 different classes separated by 1 inches which can be cumbersome because there are not enough of frequencies to work with and also to graph. Sometimes, the data is too continuous to be discretely counted. So, it\'s easier to use class frequency to elminate the problem.
