C) The magnetic field lines around wire carrying electric current is in the direction perpendicular to the wire and forms concentric circles around the wire the field direction is like the fingers of your right hand when you wrap them around the wire with your thumb in the direction of the current. the strength of the magnetic field varies as 1/ r , r is the radius of the circle, where as in the case of solinoid the shape of the mangetic lines of forces is simmilar to a bar magnet with uniform field in the centre of the coil and the field strength depends on number of turns per unit lenght . the direction of the field varies inside the coil is opposite to out side the coil , the concentric rings of magnetic field in long wire bundiling to gether when we make solinoid coil.
