Hormones such as growth hormone releasing hormone, growth hormone inhibitory hormone, thyrotropin releasing hormone , gonadotropin releasing hormone, Prolactin releasing hormone, Prolactin inhibitory hormone , corticotropin releasing hormone.

Hypothalamus connects to posterior pituitary gland through neurosecretory cells .the hormones are produced by cell bodies of neurosecretory cells and are packaged in vesicles and transported through axon and stored in axon terminals that lie in posterior pituitary.
