The function f is an exponential function that passes throug

The function f is an exponential function that passes through the points (0, 150) and (-following questions. Note y = f(x). a. Initial value: b. 1-unit growth factor: c. 1-unit percent change: % d. Function:

Solution

sol.

we know that initial value of graph is at x=0, than y=150                                             ( by graph y=150)

we assume f(x)=Aa^(-x)                    .....................(1)

we putting the value in eq.(1)

x=0, than f(x)=150

therefore A=150

and next we put x=-1 than f(x)=350

therefore 350=150a^1

than a=2.3

finaly f(x)=150(2.3)^(-1)

the unit growth factor is 150

the unit percentage factor is

y1=350 & y2=150

suppose x% decay   350*x/100=150 than x=42.1%

and the last graphe function is f(x)=150(2.3)^(-1)

 The function f is an exponential function that passes through the points (0, 150) and (-following questions. Note y = f(x). a. Initial value: b. 1-unit growth
