What are some of the keys to successful teamwork?
Solution
1. Silo is a structure used by farmers to seperate different types of grain. Organizational silos are divisons that seperate and divide different type of employees in an organization.
Silos lead to conflict by making poor interaction between employees of different silos or different departments. Thus undermines the unity of a company, leading to conflicts.Employees are more loyal towards a particular silo, leading to conflicts between employees of different silos.
2. The silos can be broken by convincing the managers of the need to work together for the common goal. Communication and collaboration will have to be promoted. With increased communication and collaboration, mutual respect and trust will start building, eventually breaking the silos.
3. The most importnat key of successful team work is trust. Members in a team must trust each other and have faith in each other. Secondly there must be accountability for the actions of all members and the group as a whole. Thirdly, there must be open communication amongst the team members.
