Focal length of the mirror f = -21 cm
Distance of the object u = 38 cm
Distance of the image v = ?
From the relation ( 1/u)+(1/v) = (1/f)
(1/38)+(1/v) = (1/-21)
(1/v) = (1/-21)-(1/38)
= -0.07393
v = -13.52 cm
Here negative sign indicates that the image is formed on other side of obejct placed.
The distance between the object and the final image = u + v
= 38 cm + 13.52 cm
= 51.52 cm
