Please explain how to answer these boolean functions I do not understand the difference between the signs

(a) 0 0 (b) 0 1 (c) 0 0 (d) (e) 1.0

Solution

(a)0+0

Answer:As per the boolean formulas it is an boolean addition which means it is the addition of two values.

i.e 0+0=0

(b)0+1

Reason:It is also the addition operation as per the boolean formulas which means

i.e 0+1=1

(c)If both the bits are same the resultant would be zero as per the xor operation

i.e=0

(d)It is also a xor operation .i.e if both the bits are diffferent i.e one is \"zero\" and the other one is \"one\", then the resultantant in xor operation would be 1.

(e)1.0

It is the boolean multiplication .As per the boolean mutiplication if any one of the bits is \"zero\" then result would be \"zero\"

i.e 1.0=0
