Using Survery below to finish graph given:

Complete chart below using Survey given Scale of measurement Discrete (Nominal iativeOroimal int Quantitative Ratio) Continuous Qualitative Ordinal, Interval, (Quantitative Statistic Age Gender ONLY) Ordinal/ Nominal Ordinal/ Number of Siblings Primary Hand T-Shirt

Solution

1. Qualitative are those which do not have a numerical value associated with them. Rest are quantitative.

2. Age is continous because between two given numbers age can always take a velue between them. For example if two people are 23 and 24 years old, there may exist a person who is say 23 years 3 months old. But the same cannot be said for number of siblings. If two people have 2 and 3 siblings there cannot exist a person who has 2.5 siblings.

3. For quatitative data if there exist a numerical true zero point then the variable is ratio otherwise it is interval. For qualitative data if the categories can be put in an order then it is ordinal variable. If the categories in qualitative data cannot be ordered then it must be nominal.

Statistics Qualitative/ Quantitative Scale of measurement (nominal, ordinal, interval, ratio) Discrete/Continous (Quantitative ONLY)
Age Quantitative Ratio Continous
Gender Qualitative Nominal -
Number of Siblings Quantitative Ratio Discrete
Primary Hand Qualitative Nominal -
T-shirt Qualitative Ordinal -
