Let the given angles be A and B. Since, A and B are supplementary angles, we have B = 180⁰ - A. ...(1) .Let B be the bigger angle. Then, B = 87⁰ + 2A...(2) On substituting B = 180⁰ - A in the 2nd equation, we get  180⁰ - A = 87⁰ + 2A or, 3A = 180⁰ - 87⁰ = 93⁰. Therefore, A = 31⁰ . Then B = 180⁰ - A = 149⁰ .
