63. Zoo Admission Prices The Springfield Zoo has different admission prices for adults and children. When Mr. and Mrs. Weaver went with their 5 children the bill was $33. If Mrs. Wong and her 3 children got in for $18.50, then what is the price of an adult\'s ticket and what is the price of a child\'s ticket ?

Consider x as a price of adult ticket and y as a price of children ticket for each member.

Total 2 adults and 5 children visited Zoo, then total ticket cost is $33.

that is, 2x+5y=33 ...... (1)

Mrs.Wong and his 3 children went in for $18.50.,

that is, x+3y=18.50 ...... (2)

Now subtract the equation (1) from (2) by multiplying (2) with 2.

     2x+5y=33

-    2x+6y=37

          -y=-4

           y=4

Substitute y=4 in equation (1), to get

2x+5(4)=33

        2x=33-20

        2x=13                Subtract

         x=6.5               Simplify
